At Hossa–Kylmäluoma, People Make the Place

At Hossa–Kylmäluoma, we believe that a strong team is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we invest in shared experiences, nature moments and staff wellbeing. Our visit to Wild Out Finland brought inspiration, connection and unforgettable experiences as we prepare for a new season.
At Hossa–Kylmäluoma, we truly believe that good work grows from a good team. We are fortunate to have a group of skilled, warm-hearted and dedicated people who care deeply about our guests—and just as importantly, about one another.
That is why we make it a priority to take care of our staff as well. Shared moments in nature, stepping away from everyday routines, and experiencing things together are important to us. These moments bring energy into daily life and strengthen the sense of unity within our team.
A Visit to Wild Out Finland
This autumn, we spent a wonderful day with Tessa and Thomas at Wild Out Finland in Kuusamo. Their warm hospitality and exceptional skills in wilderness cooking created an unforgettable experience for all of us. Later in the evening, we enjoyed a shared dinner at Iisakki Village—an easygoing setting for conversation, laughter, and reminiscing about the summer season.
We also began the day by building birdhouses in Wild Out Finland’s workshop. The finished birdhouses will be placed in the forests of Hossa, offering new homes for local small birds. Along the way, we learned more about their lives, about crafting with natural materials, and about how even small actions can support the surrounding nature.
A Collaboration That Enriches Our Region
Wild Out Finland operates in the Kuusamo–Hossa region, offering wilderness meals, nature experiences and hands-on workshops for both locals and visitors. Their services complement the nature experiences of Hossa–Kylmäluoma beautifully—together we create diverse ways for people to enjoy the wilderness, the silence and the calming presence of nature.
Looking Ahead
Moments like these remind us of how important it is to pause, value our team and build a positive future together. With gratitude, we move toward a new season—and look forward to all the good things the coming year will bring.
