Matka Travel Fair brings together travel enthusiasts, professionals and future trip planners every January in Helsinki. In 2026, Hossa and Kylmäluoma will once again be part of the event, presenting authentic Finnish nature, silence and space to breathe.
Hossa National Park is known for its crystal-clear lakes, long eskers and ancient forests. The park offers excellent opportunities for hiking, paddling, cycling and fishing throughout the year. The nearby Kylmäluoma Hiking Area complements the experience with peaceful trails and open landscapes ideal for unhurried outdoor adventures.
Experiences in nature – all year round
Each season in Hossa and Kylmäluoma has its own character. Spring and summer invite visitors to explore lakes and trails, autumn colours the forests in warm tones, and winter transforms the landscape into a quiet, snow-covered wilderness perfect for skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing.
Iconic hiking destinations and unique natural heritage
Some of the area’s most well-known attractions include the dramatic Julma-Ölkky canyon lake, the prehistoric Värikallio rock paintings, and Muikkupuro, along with countless scenic eskers and lakeside views. These destinations make Hossa and Kylmäluoma truly distinctive places to experience Finnish nature.
