Karhunkainalo Campsite is located in the scenic heart of Hossa National Park, on the shores of Lake Öllöri in Suomussalmi, Kainuu.

The campsite offers:

• 50 motorhome/caravan pitches with electricity
• 18 motorhome/caravan pitches without electricity
• Tent sites surrounded by peaceful nature

In the service building, guests have access to:

• Cooking and dining facilities
• Toilets and showers
• Saunas heated daily
• Baby care room
• Laundry facilities

💧 Day visits are also welcome – you can stop by to take a shower or do laundry even without an overnight stay.

Additional services:

🌿 A private lakeside sauna by Lake Öllöri is a popular way to relax after a day outdoors.
🍽️ The Hossa Nature Centre’s restaurant, activities and guidance services are available for all campsite guests.
🚐 A chemical waste disposal station for motorhomes and caravans is available on-site.

Arrival and Check-in

The campsite is easily accessible from Kuusamo and Oulu.
📍 It’s about 70 km south of Kuusamo and a 3-hour drive from Oulu.

Check-in takes place at the Nature Centre during opening hours.

📞 If you arrive outside of opening hours, late check-in is available by phone until 9 PM.
