09/03/2026
A young angler caught an impressive 4.3-kilogram brown trout while ice fishing on Sarvijärvi in Kylmäluoma. The fish took a golden mormyshka lure and created an unforgettable moment on the winter ice.

A joyful moment was recently experienced on the ice of Sarvijärvi in Kylmäluoma when Aapo, who had arrived from Kiiminki for an ice fishing trip, pulled up an impressive brown trout from the ice hole. The fish took a golden mormyshka lure, and the catch turned out to be exceptional: the trout weighed 4.3 kilograms and measured 70 centimeters in length.

Sarvijärvi is known as a good fishing lake, and this time it offered a wonderful experience for a young angler. The trout did not come up easily; it had to be carefully played for a while before it could finally be lifted through the ice fishing hole.

Aapo’s father Ville has been fishing in Kylmäluoma for many years. Now it seems that the passion for fishing has also caught the younger generation. The impressive catch and a successful day on the ice will surely remain a memorable moment from late winter in Kylmäluoma.

Congratulations to Aapo on the great catch, and we wish Aapo and Ville a wonderful long weekend in Kylmäluoma!
